How to play Wordle
Use letter feedback and handle repeated letters.
Practice Wordle-style word puzzles online by using each guess to reduce the remaining possibilities. The trainer lets you work on letter placement, repeated letters, and the choice between testing information and attempting an answer. Read the board’s word length and guess limit before you begin.
01 / The essentials
Wordle rules
- Submit a valid word of the required length to receive feedback for each letter.
- A correct-position mark means the letter belongs in that cell. A present-but-misplaced mark means it appears elsewhere.
- An absent mark means there is no unmatched copy of that letter left in the answer. Repeated letters must be interpreted together.

Keep confirmed positions
Record fixed letters first, then track the positions ruled out by misplaced letters. A candidate can contain every required letter and still fail because one appears in a forbidden position.
Count repeated letters
If a guess contains two copies of a letter but only one receives positive feedback, do not assume the answer contains both. Positive matches consume the available copies.
Choose a useful next guess
When several answers differ only by one letter, consider which guess tests the most of those alternatives. Near the final attempt, prioritize a word that can actually be the answer.
03 / Worked example
One positive E does not imply two
Suppose a guess contains two Es. One E is marked in the correct position and the other is absent. That feedback indicates exactly one E in the answer: the matched E used up its only copy. Keep that position and remove candidates containing a second E.
04 / Put it into practice
A Wordle practice plan
- After each guess, state what is known about positions and letter counts before entering another word.
- Practice a puzzle where your first guess repeats a letter, and interpret both copies together.
- Review a completed puzzle by comparing how many plausible answers each guess eliminated.
A common mistake
An absent duplicate does not cancel a positive copy of the same letter. Another common error is moving a misplaced letter to a position already ruled out by an earlier guess.

No. This is an independent word-puzzle practice game on Logic Games. Its puzzles and play modes are separate from the official daily Wordle.
