Five games to train your logic

How to train for LinkedIn games

  1. Learn the exact rules. Queens uses one queen per color and forbids touching; Tango uses balanced lines and no triples. Read the game’s guide before transferring habits from another puzzle.
  2. Practice one deduction. Choose an easy board and look for a region lock in Queens, a gap pattern in Tango, a narrow passage in Zip, a factor pair in Patches, or a single in Sudoku.
  3. Explain a hint. If you need help, identify the rule behind the move, then continue on your own. Repeat on an unfamiliar board to check that you learned the pattern.
  4. Add time pressure gradually. Solve accurately first. Once the method is reliable, try multiplayer or a daily challenge and compare your decisions as well as your time.
